Tools: Screw driver which provides with MBot Mini tool box

1. Clean the nozzle.

Clean around the nozzle and filament should not remain around the nozzle.

2. Move build plate and extruder:

i. Move build plate on the middle

 

ii. Extruder to right end.

3. Move Z axis

Select setup => select Jog Mode => Z axis (↑). Press up button until the Z axis completely move up.

4. The gap between the nozzle and build plate

Check the gap between the nozzle and build plate. The gap should be almost nozzle touch to build plate or thickness of a business card.

i. Insert Screw

ii. If the gap is more than a business card, then insert the screwdriver as shown in picture to adjust the gap. Rotate the screw driver anti-clockwise to reduce the gap.

iii. If the nozzle is already touching, but Z axis still can move up, then insert the screwdriver as shown in picture to adjust the gap. Rotate the screwdriver clockwise to increase the gap between the nozzle and build plate.

iv. Once the gap is adjusted between nozzle and build plate on right side.

5. Adjusting nozzle at left side

i. Move the extruder to left end.

ii.Pull build plate front. The nozzle should be pointing almost above the back build plate screw. Check the gap between the nozzle and build plate. Adjust the build plate by adjusting a black screw on build plate. Gap between build plate and nozzle should be almost nozzle touch or thickness of business card.

iii. Push build plate back side. Nozzle should be pointing almost above the front build plate screw. Check the gap between nozzle and build plate. Adjust the build plate by adjusting a front screw on the build plate. Gap between build plate and nozzle should be almost touch nozzle or thickness of business card

6. Final step:

Put build plate on middle and the extruder on right side. Check the gap between the nozzle and build plate. If the gap between nozzle and build plate is to wide or nozzle is scratching on build plate, then adjust gap between by repeating steps 3 to 5.
